Candidate Qualification

According to the Colbert County Republican Primary Resolution, anyone interested in serving on the Colbert County Republican Executive Committee (CCREC) or running for county office in the Republican Primary may submit their qualifications to the CCREC chairman from 8:30am on January 4, 2022 through 5pm on January 28, 2022.

All positions on the CCREC are up for election in the May 24th Republican Primary.  The committee positions are listed below with their qualification fees:

District 1, places 1, 2, and 3, fee=$50

District 2, places 1, 2, and 3, fee=$50

District 3, places 1, 2, and 3, fee=$50

District 4, places 1, 2, and 3, fee=$50

District 5, places 1, 2, and 3, fee=$50

District 6, places 1, 2, and 3, fee=$50

Colbert County at-large, places 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, fee=$50

The following Colbert County offices are also up for election this year:

County Sheriff, fee=$1,346

County Coroner, fee=$108

County School Board, Districts 1 and 6, fee=$144

Declarations must be accompanied by the appropriate qualification fee.  Qualification fees are nonrefundable.

The following state offices which serve Colbert County residents are also up for election.

Note:  Split fees are paid with two separate checks, one to ALGOP and one to CCREC.  Both checks are sent by the candidate to ALGOP.

State Representative, District 18, fee=$1,079 to ALGOP

State Representative, District 7, fee=$1,079 to ALGOP

State Representative, District 3, fee=$1,079 to ALGOP

State Senator, District 6, fee=$1,079 to ALGOP

District Judge, fee=$1,390 to ALGOP and $1,390 to Colbert County

District Attorney, fee=$1,400 to ALGOP and $1,400 to Colbert County

Alabama Republican Party Executive Committee, places 1 and 2, fee=$50
