2024 Candidate Qualification
Anyone seeking to be a candidate for office in the 2024 Republican Primary, to be held on March 5, 2024, must submit their declaration of candidacy after 8:30 a.m. CDT on Monday, October 16, 2023, and not later than 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, November 10, 2023. Declarations for state offices must be submitted to the chairman of the Alabama Republican Executive Committee; declarations for county offices must be submitted to the chairman of the Colbert County Republican Executive Committee.
The following state offices serving Colbert County exclusively will appear on the 2024 Republican Primary ballot:

Circuit Clerk of the 31st judicial circuit

Circuit Court Judge of the 31st judicial circuit, places 1 & 2
Prospective candidates may submit their declarations and pay the appropriate fees in-person at ALGOP Headquarters (3505 Lorna Road, Birmingham, AL 35216) or on-line at www.algop.org
